Eating Disorders:

Do you have an eating disorder?

If you agree with two or more of these statements, you may have a strong tendency toward eating disorders. Get help now!

1.I try to be thinner than all my friends.
2.I panic if I gain two pounds.
3.I use laxatives for weight control.
4.I go for long periods without eating much as a way to lose weight.
5.My friends tell me I am thin, but I don’t believe them because I feel fat.
6.I like to eat alone. I make excuses so I don’t have to eat with my family.
7.I sometimes eat huge amounts of food and then make myself vomit.
8.I enjoy making treats for others as long as I don’t have to eat any.
9.The thing I fear most is becoming fat.
10.I get upset if I can’t exercise as much as planned.
11.My family makes me angry when they keep pushing food at me.
12.I tend to be a perfectionist.

There are an estimated 5 million people in the U.S. who suffer from eating disorders. Young women are particularly susceptible (though one of my guy friends from my college days was bulimorexic). Think about your friends, family and acquaintances–it is likely that one out of twenty of the adolescent and twenty-something women you know have an eating disorder.

Almost A Year has passed.....

It is the eve of my blog anniversary. I have avoided posting because I thought I was healing and didn't need to express my anger over the entire Kimkons mess. Boy was I wrong. Today I took some time to read over at LCF and seen a whole mess of posts dealing with people's opinions on a certain blog a former KK member has been doing. This blog belongs to AmyB. All I can say is that Amy, you are my hero. You have used your blog to help release your anger, express your feelings, and you are very straight forward with all that you say. I feel your pain in your words. The anger that you release is amazing. I must say that if I had been that close to the monster we call Kimmer, I don't know what I would have done. The pictures you posted have again reminded me how deceptive this woman is. She has taken so much away from all of that had put faith into her and her diet. I admire that fact that AmyB can get out her words and feelings. I am not understanding why there is so many issues with people and her blog. it is Amy's outlet, and if her blog has helped bring to light the fraud and scamming was of this to, to even one person, I think we all need to applaude AmyB. Seriously, isn't it still our goal to let people know of the harm KK has and continues to cause. We may not all see eye to eye on everyone's posting styles, but with this great country that we live in, we have the freedom to view what we like, and to refuse to view what we do not like or agree with.

I applaude you AmyB for having the courage to stand up for what you feel is right, for finding an outlet to work on the emotional train wreck that the KimKons diet causes, and most of all for being a mother that stands up to someone that has attacked you and your children. Heidi crossed that personal line a long time ago with you she crossed it so hard that she erased that line and what you are posting now is fair game due to her going over that line.

I am no way trying to disrespect anyone else at LCF. Everyone involved in the FWK threads are wonderful and so very dedicated to the cause. I just fell like that thread was not FWAB and we didn't need page upon page about who was right and who wasn't. I am sure in a day or so that everyone will have moved on from the topic and we will again be focused on the purpose we have. Love to all the DUCKS
